Penn Yan

Body

On the southern side of Yates County, villages like Dundee and Glenora suffered flooding from Seneca Lake.  Glenora, which is on the west shore of the lake, saw cottages flooded and porches swept off houses.  Dundee, a few miles inland from the lake, suffered a few feet of flooding because of Big Stream.

On the northern side of Yates County, its county seat of Penn Yan suffered flooding from Keuka Lake.  The village is situated at top northern end of Keuka Lake.
