The Erie Canal Collection comprises a set of financial documents and cultural materials relevant to the Erie Canal digitized by the American Museum of Finance.
This collection includes personal papers created or kept by individuals and families chiefly of southern Ulster County, NY. The majority of the papers date from the mid-1600s through 1830.
This collection contains materials created and maintained by the Overseers of the Poor of Schenectady, Glenville, and Rotterdam. These materials capture important information about the treatment and condition of poor people in Schenectady County in the 19th century.
