The 35mm slides that were digitized to produce this collection were created by the City Hall Photo Lab during the 1984 Rochester Sesquicentennial.

Scope of Collection

The City Hall Photo Lab Vintage Collection consists of selected images drawn from the extensive collection of over 5,000 slides that the City Hall Photo Lab created during Rochester's 1984 sesquicentennial celebration. The collection contains images related to local government and public works, along with historic views of the City of Rochester and general images from the community. The original images used to the create the 35mm slides included photographs, paintings and engravings.
