About

The Community Library's mission is to build a stronger community by preserving the past, enriching the present and inspiring the future. When the library opened in 1921, 1,200 items were made available to the community, and now there is roughly 41,000 items for our patrons to borrow! To continue our mission of preserving the past and inspiring the future, we have made the Daisy Brown Scrapbook Collection available as a digital collection.

This collection of scrapbooks date from 1879 to 1935, and includes endless information on the history of Cobleskill. Moving forward, it is our goal to continue to digitize our collection in an effort to preserve our unique items in the history collection and increase accessibility for our patrons and visitors.

The Community Library, Cobleskill is a member of the Capital District Library Council.
