About
The Montauk Library is a School District Public Library. Operating funds for the library are collected through the School District appearing on your annual Town of East Hampton property tax bill. A board of seven trustees elected to serve five year terms govern the library. The trustees establish the policies of the library and administer the finances of the library. Day to day operations of the library are administered by the Library Director and well informed staff.
Montauk Library is a member of the Long Island Library Resources Council.
