About
The mission of CCHS is to lead and support the advancement of research, education, and enjoyment of Chenango County history. First established in 1939, the Chenango County Historical Society (CCHS) received an absolute charter in 1956. The campus has expanded greatly since then, with the acquisition of the one-room Ross Schoolhouse (Preston), Loomis Barn (Tyner), a maple sugar house, and the Chenango Canal building, home to packet boat model the “Lillie.”
Chenango County Historical Society is a member of the South Central Regional Library Council.
