Body

An important part of the religious communities tradition is providing service in the myriad of ways needed in addition to working for justice in their communities. These videos highlight just a few of the wonderful projects that have taken place and are ongoing in the Western New York area.

In the first episode, Dexter Fugerson, Canisius College and Caroline Hurley, Canisius College hosted and Interviewed guests Rabbi Alexander  Lazarus Klein, Congregation Shir Shalom and Rev. Father Michael Tunney, Canisius College. 

In the next episode, we learn about the work over three decades with refugees from around the world. Having made their way to Buffalo, New York, in hope of gaining admission to Canada. Throughout this time, Vive has served as a beacon of hope and help for those who have fled their homeland as a result of persecution, and in search of freedom. Rev. Dr. G. Stanford Bratton, Executive Director, NRC spoke with John Long, longtime Executive Director of Vive La Casa about the history and accomplishments of Vive during the past three decades.
