An assembled collection of images of the extended Ten Broeck family. The images include ambrotypes, daguerreotypes, portraits in oil and watercolor, silhouettes, and wax carvings. The collection is unusual in showing the early 19th-century transformation of media from silhouette to watercolor to photography of the same persons. The images are of several generations of the Ten Broeck family. Of particular interest are: Jacob Ten Broeck (1800-1883), Anna Benner Ten Broeck (1798-1879) who married Jacob, their children Mary Ten Broeck, Katherine Ten Broeck, and Jane Ann Ten Broeck Moore. Jane Ann’s husband William Rowe Moore (1826-1913) and his parents Garret and Helen Moore are also included.
