Historical Context
The Memorial Art Gallery has kept scrapbooks of newspaper clippings since its construction in 1912. These scrapbooks are now on microfilm; a few selections have been digitized.
Scope of Collection
This collection of newspaper clippings relates to Navajo Days, an exhibition and demonstration, which was held at the Memorial Art Gallery in 1929 and 1930. The scanned microfilm clippings include photographs of Indian craftsmen and descriptions of their work. There is also a pamphlet titled: Lectures on Arts and Crafts of the Navajo Indians
