Historical Context

Ernest P. Simon was a former senior editor of the Port Washington News for over 30 years until his death in 1976. Often referred to as “Mr. Port Washington,” Simon was a prominent member of the community and advocate of local history.

Scope of Collection

The Ernie Simon Collection includes his personal collection of “Port Remembered” articles as well as his personal papers, correspondence, writings, photographs and memorabilia.
