Cayuga GenWeb Collection

The Cayuga County NYGenWeb Project began in the 1990s by avid genealogists, willing to share their time and expertise online.  Volunteers indexed, scanned, transcribed, and uploaded materials of interest to genealogy into a local Cayuga County website, linked to other county websites throughout New York State (the NYGenWeb Project).  

Genealogists are particularly interested in directories, cemetery records, census records, church records, school records, and maps.  Some of these resources are better searched and browsed in a repository like New York Heritage Digital Collections.  For that reason, those materials (like yearbooks, directories, and books) were moved to this site in late 2024, under the institutional stewardship of the County Historian's Office.

Please note the original physical materials from this collection may not be held by the Cayuga County Historian's Office and the provenance of the material could be unknown.
