Rudolf Steiner Library

The digital collection is a sampling of some of the library’s most popular items, including works by Rudolf Steiner, commentary on his life and work, and works by other anthroposophical authors. The collection also documents Waldorf education: curriculum, child development, and other topics of particular interest to teachers and parents. Founded in 1928, the Rudolf Steiner Library is the only national Anthroposophical research, archival, lending, and mail-order library in America.

Anthroposophy is a discipline of research that was introduced and developed by Rudolf Steiner. It is concerned with all aspects of human life, spirit and humanity’s future well-being. Library holdings include all works by Rudolf Steiner in both the original German and in English translation; works by other authors on anthroposophy and its practical applications, such as Waldorf education, biodynamic agriculture, eurythmy, anthroposophical medicine, and curative education; and, works of Western spirituality, the arts, and sciences.
