About

The Town of Berne Free Library was chartered in 1962. In 1996, the library changed its name to the Berne Public Library.  The library moved to 1763 Helderberg Trail on October 19, 2013.  This building was formerly St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church built in 1961.  It was renovated to accommodate the library. Now with plenty of room, the community can enjoy all the services a library can offer. The mission of the Berne Public Library is to meet the needs of the community by providing resources for lifelong learning and entertainment.

Berne Public Library is a member of the Capital District Library Council.
