Ten Broeck Mansion and Ten Broeck Family Homesteads Images

An assembled collection of images taken of the Ten Broeck Mansion in Arbor Hill, Albany, New York prior to the donation of the Mansion to the Albany County Historical Association in 1948. The collection was organized into four series: (1) Photographs of Ten Broeck Mansion Taken in 1887, (2) Photographs of Ten Broeck Mansion Taken in 1937, (3) Not Dated Photographs (4) Photographs of Ten Broeck Family Homesteads. The images show the exterior of the Ten Broeck Mansion, the Mansion gardens and landscape, and rooms on the first and second floors of the Mansion. The fourth series consists of photographs of extended Ten Broeck family homesteads located outside of Albany.

Ten Broeck Mansion is attributed to architect Philip Hooker (1766-1836), was built for Revolutionary War General Abraham Ten Broeck (1734-1810), and lived in by Albany banker and philanthropist Thomas Worth Olcott (1795-1880) and his family.
