Historical Context

Despite being largely forgotten by history, Dryden’s farm women at the turn of the 20th century were both invaluable to the functioning of the community and represented rich individual lives in a time when women had limited options.

Scope of Collection

This collection includes photographs, postcards, and ephemera relating to the turn-of-the-century farm women who were valuable to the community of the Town of Dryden in Tompkins County, New York

This collection was supported with federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds allocated to the New York State Library by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).
