The area around Tupper Lake was first settled in 1844, and since very soon thereafter it has served as a major lumber producer in New York State.
Scope of Collection
This series contains photographs that document various arts programs in Tupper Lake ranging from community drama, local music groups and school bands, arts and crafts, and theater from approximately 1870 to 2000. Series highlights include the “Citizens Band,” and the First Tupper Lake Band.
