African Repository and Colonial Journal
The American Colonization Society was founded in 1816 to encourage African Americans to colonize the region of Africa which became Liberia. The American Colonization Society began a quarterly, The African Repository and Colonial Journal, in 1825. The journal promoted the colonization of Liberia.
