Historical Context

Southern Cayuga Central School District is a school district which spans the southern portion of Cayuga County, including the towns and villages of Genoa, King Ferry, Aurora, Sherwood, Scipioville, Scipio, and Ledyard.  

The district is approximately 162 square miles and is located about 15 miles from Auburn, 25 miles from Ithaca, 40 miles from Syracuse and 60 miles from Rochester. The student population is about 700, all educated on one campus in a shared building.
