Historical Context

Maple Grove Cemetery, located just south of the Village of Jordan along Route 317, is an active cemetery that was founded in October of 1876.  It is the largest cemetery associated with the Village of Jordan.  Maple Grove also have the Converse chapel and receiving vault; a small chapel building built shortly after the Maple Grove Association received a gift of the estate of Hiram Converse that was willed to the cemetery in October of 1923.
