About
The Staatsburg Library is located in Staatsburg in the Town of Hyde Park. Built as a non-denominational chapel c. 1854, and converted to a library in 1894, the library is a community hub: a vibrant and welcoming space to read, to learn, and to meet in the heart of the hamlet, offering a rich variety of programs for people of all ages and interests. The Staatsburg Library makes available internet connectivity and many other materials to those who might not otherwise have access. The Staatsburg Library is a member of the Mid-Hudson Library System.
The Staatsburg Library’s history collection contains print matter, artifacts, photographs, and oral history interviews documenting the history of the hamlet and environs. Some of this material is searchable and viewable online; some of it is only accessible by visiting the library in person.
