An Ecumenical Wind in BuffaloNetwork of Religious CommunitiesThe Network of Religious Communities (NRC) is a multi faith organization of denominations, houses of worship and religious organizations located in and serving Western New York with roots back to 1857. The Board of Directors of the Network of Religious Communities created an archiving committee in 2014, given the knowledge that the records accumulated in the building date back to 1857. As a result of this ongoing project the committee has inventoried over 200 banker boxes of materials (including newspapers, photographs, and papers). Although this is a religious collection, it is felt that it has value to researchers across the country who are interested in the history of ecumenical/inter-religious cooperation as well as collaborative social justice and religious projects. |
