Items in New York Heritage are organized into collections, which provide additional context for understanding their significance and meaning.

The State Reservation at Niagara is the oldest state park in the United States, officially established in 1885. The collection includes photographs, advertisements, blueprints, maps, letters, and other documents relating to the development and use of the Park.

Photographic and illustrated postcards relating to Naples, New York in the Finger Lakes region. In particular, the images highlight the natural features of the area, especially Canandaigua Lake throughout the early to mid-20th century.
Seneca Ray Stoddard produced many images of the Adirondack area which encouraged tourism and the creation of the Adirondack State Park.
