Items in New York Heritage are organized into collections, which provide additional context for understanding their significance and meaning.
The collection is composed of 18th and 19th documents that mention enslaved and formerly enslaved people in Schenectady County. Some materials in this collection may contain offensive language or imagery. In the interests of historical integrity, we are not removing these images or words. Some item descriptions contain language from the original historical document when it provides additional value; language from an historical source is indicated through quotation marks.
This collection consists of a large number of both partial and complete children's' dolls.
This collection contains student notebooks from Donald S. Childs, who graduated from the Syracuse University College of Medicine in 1909 and was a radiologist.
This collection contains pictures from the Dongan Charter Celebration Parade held in Albany, New York on July 22, 1936.
