Items in New York Heritage are organized into collections, which provide additional context for understanding their significance and meaning.

The photographs include a number of street views and houses in Delhi, New York. Also included are a number of images of the Frank Farrington home on Elm Street, with pictures of his family. A series of images of a military camp appear to date from 1919 in Camp Lee, Virginia.
Historic glass and film negatives, prints, and postcards documenting life along New York State’s canals, including the Erie Canal, Black River Canal, and Champlain Canal from the collection of Albert Gayer.
