Elsie White of Newfield created this scrapbook for her brother George while he served in World War II. George was in France when he was seriously injured on November 11, 1944, at the age of 19. He did recover and return to Newfield, where he died in 2002. Elsie's scrapbook shares news of other young men from Newfield who did and who did not get to return home.
