Historical Context

Siena College is located in Albany County, New York. The college is an independent Roman Catholic liberal arts college, and it was established in 1937. Siena College offers degrees in the areas of science, liberal arts, and business. The college offers a large variety of extracurricular activities and groups for students to be a part of. A prominent local of the Siena College area, William Wallace Farley (1874 - 1952), was a notable Albany businessman and politician.

The Siena College Historic Photographs Collection includes photos and drawings depicting academic, athletic and student life at Siena College. This collection also includes the William Wallace Farley Papers which illustrate the life of an Albany businessman and New York State politician from about 1910 to 1952.
