The towns that remained after the construction of the Ashokan Reservoir changed and evolved in their own ways. There would be businesses who came to stay and some that existed for just a short period of time. The Olive Free Library was created, as well as, the Olive Fire Company and a centralized Onteora School District. This collection documents life in the remaining towns after the reservoir was constructed.
